Shop Tour - Hardcore Drag Racing

  This go-fast 1978 Plymouth Arrow belongs to Chris Kulp from Pottstown, Pennsylvania. Chris grew up behind a Chrysler Plymouth dealership where his father bought a brand new 1969 Plymouth Road Runner, it was only natural that he got hooked on drag racing . Chris’s first car was a 1971 Dodge Challenger that he swapped in a hot 340 CID small block. He also owned two 1963 Dodge Polara 500’s before he acquired this red hot Arrow.      The Arrow is equipped with an RB Wedge engine stroked to 451 C.I. The Super-Gas style engine was built by Chuck Szylagi. It's fueled by a big Holley carburetor mounted on an Indy Cylinder Heads manifold. The racing fuel is squeezed to the tune of 13.6:1 compression.      Backing up this torque monster is a GM Power- glide transmission.
