Quick Look ! The modern muscle car wars were heating up around 2007 and Ford wanted to show they had what it took to be number one. For 2008 they created the modern version of their Drag-Pack from the 1960’s. This 2008 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet is #37 of 50 examples produced by Ford Racing in the first year of production. It was delivered to Jacky Jones Ford of Cleveland, Georgia. The odometer reads 0.0 miles, the car has never been raced and is in "as-delivered" condition. Quick Look ! This is not your typical 78' Ford Bronco This has to be the coolest 1978 Bronco, it’s a full custom all the way. The rear cap is long gone and now a custom rear bulkhead and tonneau cover take its place. It makes it look like a short bed pick-up! The build spanned many years from the 80’s and well into the early 2000’s, starting with the frame that was custom fabricated, it was notched and lowered and features a Fatman front clip with coilovers and tubular A-arms. Under the hood a Ford 351 Windsor engine was stroked to 427 CI. It features Dart aluminum heads and a custom grind Comp Cam. Exiting the engine the owner built stainless steel headers that connect to a full stainless exhaust system, it dumps out at the rear bumper. Backing up the stroker a B&M 3-speed C6 automatic transmission and a Moser Engineering 9-inch rear end with a Posi-Traction diff. Other features include: Power rack and pinion steering,Power wind...

This 1969 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet gained notoriety on the West Coast drag-racing circuit under sponsorship from Chuck Foulger, the former Ford Racing director from Monrovia, California. It was driven by Lucy Below and known as 'Lucy's Larceny'. At Fremont Dragway it set the SS/HA class record, it ran mid 11s at 126.45 mph. The car was then retired after racing only three short years in Division 7 . Then it was sold and went through a few owners. It was featured in all the popular drag racing magazines during the 1970s. The car was well known at the time because of its unique paint scheme, refrigerator white on the passenger side with a bright blue racing stripe outlining the fender, door and quarter panel. On the driver side the complete opposite with bright blue paint and a bright white stripe down the flanks. The car’s distinctive paint scheme was Foulger’s idea, he reasoned that media coverage would give the impression there were tw...

And it's painted a slick Candy Brandy-wine with a deep clear coat. It's equipped with a BDS 6/71 supercharger with dual 650 CFM Holley four barrel carburetors . There are miles of braided lines with AN fittings, a Milodon deep sump oil pan keeps the bottom end lubricated . These are some of the sights and sounds from Island Dragway located in Great Meadows ,New Jersey It was a hot afternoon at the 61st Funny Car Throwdown presented by The North East Timing Organization (NETO), it was well over 90 degrees , and the cars were just as hot ! There were over 16 vintage Nitro & Alcohol Funny Cars and plenty of vintage Drag Cars to enjoy between rounds . There was everything from classic 1950's front engine Dragsters to Altered wheel base cars , and 8.90-9.90 Door Cars . Do to the intense sun shining that day filming the racing action was difficult but we did capture some great pit action. We shot some great photos and captured the true essence of grass roots racing . Island Dragway is one of two quarter mile tracks still operating in New Jersey , it's about 50 miles west from the George Washington bridge .
