This the newly restored Custom Body Plymouth Duster Funny Car.
Powered by a supercharged Chrysler Hemi engine , all the logos and lettering are painted on , this is not a wrap like the modern cars run. The detail on this car is top notch.
These photos and videos were taken at the 2019 Dead Man's Curve
event in Mahwah, N.J.
This also runs on 95% Nitromethane fuel .

The car was so popular that Revell models made a 1/25 scale kit of it.

The Custom Body Enterprises name is one of the most famous names in funny car history. The name is also synonymous with winning, good-looking race cars. The Castronovo Bros. had Bob Gerdes at Circus Custom Paint lay down the colors.

Joey went on to say that they didn't see eye to eye when it came to what they liked. He is a muscle car go as fast as you can guy, where I was into mini-trucks and low-rider's. Mark & Melissa McGuire's 64 Nova
Mark McGuire has been a truck driver for over 40+ years, currently he hauls heavy equipment. In the past he did a 10-year stretch driving a transporter for Dick Simon racing and he was also on the pit crew. Mark was just a child when his father was drag racing and said that's how he got hooked on racing. Mark was just 19 years old when he bought his first race car, it was a 1969 SS Chevelle dirt track car. He was lucky enough to land a sponsorship from a local California radio station 99.1, which helped with expenses. He had fun, but after three races he realized that asphalt was for racing. He went on to race circle track cars for the next 30+ years, from street stocks to super late-models.
