Mustang Mach 1 Pro/Street

Image
This wild 1973 Mustang Mach 1 was given the full Pro-Street treatment back in the early 1990's, and was built by the Rod Shop in Erie, P.A. The current owner is from Nanuet,New York and owns some other significant Pro-Street cars as well. The hood now opens in reverse like a Corvette .  And poking through the hood is a custom made air box fed by two ram tubes fitted with high-flow air filters. The owner stated that he is going to give the hood the factory black out treatment to match the other Mach 1 graphics. Under the hood we find the huge by large big-block Ford that has been stroked to almost 600 cubic inches . The transmission is a H.D. Ford C6 automatic with a high stall converter. You can see the detail work that went into this build , the fire wall has been smoothed and set back and the engine has been set back at least four inches as well .  The cowl has been removed and a custom windshield was flush fitted to the opening.  A single wiper was added to keep...

Duncan Southall's *Mustang*

Image
This Awesome Photo was done by Tristin Godsey, the owner of Trystram Portrait Artistry from Roseburg, Oregon      If this 1965 Mustang could talk , it would tell you how it traveled across our great country from coast to coast and seen places many of us have never been . This is a the story of Duncan Southall and his journey with his 1965 Mustang (in his words), a story that is still being written. My story with my Mustang is a unique tale. This was the first car I ever bought, and it’s been mine since High School. Although my high school experience ended up with me dropping out and joining the Marines. It was important to mention how my experience with my Mustang guided my life. I received a myriad of tickets as a 16-year-old with a passion for street racing. I had racked up reckless and careless driving tickets, exhibition of speed and those open tickets were prohibitive for my entrance in the Marines at 17. Luckily, my father took me to court hearing wher...

Keith Rizner's 1970 Mustang

Image
Keith is from Peyton, Colorado and this is his 1970 Mustang . He states it's a home built race car that started life as a plain Jane stock 302 , with a C4 transmission.  He built the Mustang in his two stall garage.  He first back halved it and installed a 429 with a C6 transmission . After battling cooling issues he decided it was time to go to a fully TIG welded tube chassis and take the car even further.   He stepped it up with a 514 cubes, The bigger power started breaking the C6 so Keith went to a Powerglide transmission.  Fast forward to today,  Keith is now running an A460 block that’s 598 cubes , with SCJ heads that have been ported & larger valves were installed .  A Trick Flow intake and a Pro Systems 1250cfm Methanol carburetor finishes off the top end . The Powerglide is long gone, and now a turbo 400 handles the shifting duty's and a Hughes 5,500 stall converter keeps the engine in it's sweet...
