Street Freak Special ! This 1970 Corvette has such an outrageous custom paint job that it will blind you. The car is a time capsule bringing you back to 1975 when disco was popular, it also was a time when horsepower wasn't enough to win at shows so the people mixed street machine power with lowrider good looks. The Vette features a full custom interior, supercharged small block engine and a 4-speed manual transmission. The interior is filled with a roll bar, metallic vinyl interior accents and wood trim, finishing off the 70's vibe it rolls on classic wire wheels.     The engine is a small-block Chevy 400, with a Dyers 6V-71supercharger. It has a pump gas friendly 8.5:1 CR., The supercharger is feed by two boost-referenced Holley 650 CFM  carbs. Ignition is handled by a MSD products.  The small-block is backed up by a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission. The fumes exit in style with chrome 4-into one side pipes that make this 71' Corvette rumble. Power

The legend of Jan Gabriel

Who doesn't remember hearing Jan Gabriel's voice growing up in the 1970's & 1980's. He was the first one to come up with the Sunday , Sunday , Sunday catch phrase. Other track promoters soon copied it,because it packed the grand stands .

In 1968 Ben Christ, the track owner of the U.S. 30 drag strip in Hobart,Indiana wanted to advertise and make it known that his tracks were open on Sundays.

After dismissing nearly 50 announcers because they weren't vibrant enough,Gabriel's announcing was picked as the iconic tagline. The spots ended with "Where the great ones run!", read and echoed by Gabriel.  His deep voice and tagline was extensively used by Christ in many of his other racing venues advertisements, with Gabriel often recording fresh tracks up until the 1980s.

The tagline was often copied by other racetrack announcers and it was popular in racing culture until it's decline in the 1980s. Jan went on to host the Superchargers Television show, which aired Monster Trucks to Drag Racing .
