Kelly Davis, the founder of Performance Distributors, is now run by his son Steve. Kelly Davis designed the industry’s first H.E.I. Performance Distributor. He had a background in Drag Racing and Hot Rodding. Kelly mastered the science and art of setting advance curves. This unique science was passed on to Steve, and the company is now the most respected in the world for their advance curve technology.

Unlike universal plug wires sets, Live Wires do not require any assembly.
All sets are custom fit and numbered on both ends for the correct
cylinder making installation, removal and re-installation quick and
easy. No cutting, splicing or crimping is required! All sets include a
tube of dielectric grease that is applied to the plug boots to prevent
voltage leakage and boots and terminals from sticking to the plug.
The sleeving is made from a non-flammable heat treated glass braid, much like the type that is used on today’s ovens. This unique sleeving provides heat protection up to +1400° F and offers excellent resistance to moisture and chemicals. Inside this high temperature sleeve is an 8mm spiral core wire with a durable and lasting silicone jacket. The spiral core consists of a stainless steel wire wrapped around a magnetic core. This offers an extremely low resistance value of 300 – 350 Ohms per foot for optimum spark travel. Spiral core wire is also radio suppression, so there is no electronic interference with the radio and they work great with delay boxes and stutter boxes.

The Dyna-Batt produces more power per pound than any battery on the market. It has the cranking power of wet cell batteries three times its size. This is due to the extremely low internal resistance which has been tested to crank engines with compression ratios as high as 15:1. The reserve capacity of the Dyna-Batt is 16 Amp Hours. It is complete dry cell design and can withstand the rigors of high performance and racing environments. The Dyna -Batt has an excellent storage life and recharges very quickly. Any 12 volt charger can be used to recharge the Dyna-Batt .

Butch Hill's 1939 Ford Coupe
Like most gear heads in his age group, Butch Hill notes that while growing up, he took a particular liking to hot rods as a result of the influence from his father, Don. He was known as the Hill-Boys Race Team in the dirt/asphalt racing circuit. Although his involvement with hot rods came from his father.
