1970 Corvette Street Machine

Image
Street Freak Special ! This 1970 Corvette has such an outrageous custom paint job that it will blind you. The car is a time capsule bringing you back to 1975 when disco was popular, it also was a time when horsepower wasn't enough to win at shows so the people mixed street machine power with lowrider good looks. The Vette features a full custom interior, supercharged small block engine and a 4-speed manual transmission. The interior is filled with a roll bar, metallic vinyl interior accents and wood trim, finishing off the 70's vibe it rolls on classic wire wheels.     The engine is a small-block Chevy 400, with a Dyers 6V-71supercharger. It has a pump gas friendly 8.5:1 CR., The supercharger is feed by two boost-referenced Holley 650 CFM  carbs. Ignition is handled by a MSD products.  The small-block is backed up by a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission. The fumes exit in style with chrome 4-into one side pipes that make this 71' Corvette rumble. Power

Mike Hepp Racing (MHR) is a local Bucks County professional Sportsman Drag racing team that has been giving back to the community since it's conception in 2012.

MHR's focus has been and will continue to be battling the drug and alcohol epidemic throughout the United States. Through their racing for recovery program. Mike stated that they are the only race team in the U.S. with such a program.

Since 2012 they have helped hundreds of people suffering from addiction get treatment for the disease and reunite them with their families and overcome addiction. MHR provides resources such as detox inpatient treatment, housing and employment to anyone looking for help to overcome this deadly disease.

As a young man Mike Hepp never thought his life would spiral out of control to almost death. He has in effect been lifted from the scrap heap and brought to a level of life that is more wonderful as each day passes. Alcoholism and drug addiction brought him to his knees. On November 28, 2006 he surrendered.

He found himself at a place called “Our Mother of Perpetual Help” on State Road in Philadelphia. It was a place that took in the drunks and addicts from the area and if you wanted to get help they would feed you and guide you to the local meeting house. He got a got a sponsor right away , He went through a 12 step program and his life started to get better. Mike stated that Drag racing was a huge part of his life when he was a young man, and it was in his blood.

It was over 27 years since Mike went to a Drag Race and there was a race coming up in Englishtown , New Jersey and he said one of his favorite drivers, Tony Schumacher, was going to be there . He had told his fiancé that he would like to take her and the kids to the race, but that he was also going there to ask someone for help. He explained to her that if anybody was willing to help a man like him, he knew Tony Schumacher would. So they headed for Raceway Park .

He said a prayer and that gave him the courage to approach Tony and ask for his help. He said he took a deep breath and asked him if he had a minute to talk with him, and that he needed his help. He simply said sure. I couldn’t believe it. Looking back, it would have never happened unless I asked.

Not only did Tony reassure him that he would be willing to help, but he would also mentor him and teach me everything he would need to know to achieve his goals. Asking for help was not easy six years ago. However it was the best thing he's have ever done.

Tony directed him to contact Doug Foley of Doug Foley's Drag Racing School. He said he didn’t question it, and did what the man told him to do and the result was receiving his Super Comp license. Unbelievable! Mike never thought at 46 years old that would be possible. Mike asked for help from the best driver in the NHRA, and asked for strength and direction from God, and then followed it up with the course of action, that’s a winning combination!

MHR is a two car team , Both are rear engine Dragsters.  The first one competes in the Sportsman class  and the second one is blown and injected and runs the Top Alcohol class some specs include:
