1970 Corvette Street Machine

                 Street Freak Special ! This 1970 Corvette has such an outrageous custom paint job that it will blind you. The car is a time capsule bringing you back to 1975 when disco was popular, it also was a time when horsepower wasn't enough to win at shows so the people mixed street machine power with lowrider good looks. The Vette features a full custom interior, supercharged small block engine and a 4-speed manual transmission. The interior is filled with a roll bar, metallic vinyl interior accents and wood trim, finishing off the 70's vibe it rolls on classic wire wheels.     The engine is a small-block Chevy 400, with a Dyers 6V-71supercharger. It has a pump gas friendly 8.5:1 CR., The supercharger is feed by two boost-referenced Holley 650 CFM  carbs. Ignition is handled by a MSD products.  The small-block is backed up by a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission. The fumes exit in style with chrome 4-into one side pipes that make this 71' Corvette rumble. Power

1963 Nova' Street Gasser



Chevrolet introduced the compact Nova for the 1962 model year. They were available in 2-door coupes with hard tops & with post's, a wagon was also offered . If you wanted to show off there was a convertible option .

They were a big hit with Hot Rodder's ,stuffing hot small blocks under the hood were the norm . For all out Drag Racing you could find Gasser's with injected 327's or the new big block 427's with superchargers and mechanical fuel injection .


This freshly restored 63' Nova known as SNAFU is all steel and fitted with a hot small block.

For power a 1968 Chevrolet  327 C.I.  block was bored .030' with 13.5:1 pistons was put into action.

 

 

It was capped off with a set of Dart cylinder heads and a Weiand intake manifold. The fuel system checks out with A 750 CFM. Holley double pumper carb., a Holley Blue fuel pump with braided lines run from the custom tank to the engine compartment.

Te ignition system is by MSD, with a 6-AL Box and Blaster coil.
Backing up the 327 is a custom built Turbo-350 with a manual  valve body & 3500 Stall Converter.  The exhaust system starts with custom fabricated Hooker Headers with three inch pipes and side exits.

















The hood Is One-of-a-kind made In Arkansas At JV Fabricating, casting a mold from the original with the scoop molded on gives it a nod to the Gasser's of the past. The flairs are welded steel with an inner and outer areas giving them strength , then they were molded in giving them a seamless look.












The front suspension consists of  a Super Bell axle with 54' Chevy spindles machined for disc brake rotors And Calipers, mounted on leaf-springs. Braided stainless steel brake hoses add some safety.


The ear-end is A 70' era Dana 60 with 4:10 gears and a Posi diff. Stock rear drum brakes are period correct .

Modified traction bars were added to combat wheel hop.


The rear suspension is equipped with high-arch leaf springs and coil over shocks for the killer Gasser stance.
















A new set American Racing wheels with classic Pro-Trac Tires were installed giving the Nova the perfect day-2 look .

Now dig that old Gasser out of the barn or garage and put back on the street !
