Street Freak Special ! This 1970 Corvette has such an outrageous custom paint job that it will blind you. The car is a time capsule bringing you back to 1975 when disco was popular, it also was a time when horsepower wasn't enough to win at shows so the people mixed street machine power with lowrider good looks. The Vette features a full custom interior, supercharged small block engine and a 4-speed manual transmission. The interior is filled with a roll bar, metallic vinyl interior accents and wood trim, finishing off the 70's vibe it rolls on classic wire wheels.     The engine is a small-block Chevy 400, with a Dyers 6V-71supercharger. It has a pump gas friendly 8.5:1 CR., The supercharger is feed by two boost-referenced Holley 650 CFM  carbs. Ignition is handled by a MSD products.  The small-block is backed up by a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission. The fumes exit in style with chrome 4-into one side pipes that make this 71' Corvette rumble. Power

73' Plymouth Scamp *Street Machine *

The Plymouth Scamp was the A-Body platform that Chrysler Corp. used for their economy class of cars . The A-Body was light weight at 3000 pounds , it was offered with the slant 6- cylinder engine for a base engine , the 318-V8 was an option.

The cars were built with rubber floor mats and very plain interiors , bench seats , AM radio & A/C was optional.

Chrysler used the 68 A-Body Dart's & Barracuda's for Super- Stock programs and they were very successful . In 1970 they were used in the new Pro-Stock class , but they were now the new Plymouth Duster or Dodge Dart's . These cars ran the mighty 426 Hemi backed up by either a 4-speed manual transmission or the heavy-duty Torqueflite 3-speed automatic. The Hemi cars had the Dana 60 while the auto cars had the 8 3/4 rear end.

The bodies were modified to fit big slicks , the quarter panels were cut open , suspension upgrades included 6cyl front torsion bars , Super-Stock rear leaf springs & pinion snubber lifted the rear of the car on launch causing the weight of the body to be placed on the rear tires giving it more traction. The rear springs were also moved inboard three inches to give way to the slicks.

The 1973 Scamp pictured here is a what if . What if Chrysler continued the Super-Stock program into the mid 70's . The owner took all the style of these cars and made his own street version , just slightly tamer .

Under the hood the original 318 was pulled , now we find a hopped up 383 big-block .

The engine was filled with high compression pistons , a Mopar Purple Shaft cam with 509 lift and 280*dur. Up top a set of aluminum 452 heads from Mopar , aluminum roller rockers .

Induction combines a 750 dp- Holley mounted on a Mopar Performance dual plane manifold.  The engine was fitted with a B-Body shaker scoop from the 71' Cuda'  for some functional ram air induction to the 383 . Backing up the big block is a 727 Torqueflite  with a manual valve body, 3000 RPM stall converter and a HEMI 5.0 kickdown lever . It breaks the tires lose in each gear .

An MSD ignition system was installed featuring a billet distributor,Blaster coil , 8.8 mm wire set and a 6AL box keep the fire lit.

The fumes exit Hooker fender-well headers that dump into 3-inch pipes and end a pair of  glass pack mufflers.

The interior features a pair of light- weight A-100 Van seats & a Hurst shifter controls the 727 automatic.

The rear seat was removed for weight savings, black carpet and pleated door panels were installed for some comfort.

Under the dash is an aftermarket cluster of gauges , including a big tach. to keep track of the engines vital signs.

The trunk was filled with a polished 10 gallon fuel cell and pump and battery.

The Scamp Rolls on classic Cragar SS wheels with big Drag Radials on the rear.
